Ruby W. Oney, of League City, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2017. She was born in Aydlett, North Carolina on November 21, 1923 to Ruby and Parks Wright. She was married to Castel Oney for 63 years. Ruby spent her days as a loving house-wife and mother to her family.
She was a member of the Friendswood United Methodist Church. She had a passion for crossword puzzles as well as making crafts.
She was preceded in death by husband, Castel Oney; brothers, Kirby Wright and Ray Wright.
She is survived by children, Pamela Oney Rogers, William W. Oney, and Stephanie Oney Stapleton; sister, Helen Wright Bickett; grandchildren, Melissa Rogers, Cindy Rogers Huskey, Christopher Scott Oney, Kris Oney, Lynn Marens, J.T. Stapleton, Michael A. Stapleton and 8 great-grandchildren.
Ruby’s ashes will be interred with her husband at Arlington Natl. Cemetery according to her wishes.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Friendswood United Methodist Church, Wesley Hall, 110 N Friendswood Drive
