

Shawn Marshall Dade, 61, of Houston, Texas, transitioned peacefully on July 10, 2025, surrounded by love and embraced by the hearts of those who cherished her most.
Born in Galveston, Texas, on October 6, 1963, Shawn was the beloved daughter of Mr. Ben Marshall and Mrs. Geraldine Marshall. She was the devoted wife of Mr. Patrick Dade, who stood faithfully by her side until her heavenly ascension.
A woman of grace, perseverance, and dedication, Shawn devoted over 35 years of service to Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Beginning her journey as a receptionist and fax operator, she rose through the ranks to become Office Manager—a role in which she was deeply valued and respected. Her work ethic, loyalty, and vibrant spirit made her an irreplaceable asset to the firm and a mentor to many.
Shawn lived life joyfully. Her radiant energy, love for travel, and passion for creating unforgettable memories made her a light in every room she entered. She was a proud member of several social circles that kept her laughing, dancing, and celebrating life to the fullest. Her home, affectionately known as “The Underground Railroad,” became a safe haven for countless souls—a true testament to her nurturing heart and unwavering generosity.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion. Shawn is survived by her loving husband, Patrick Dade; her devoted parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Marshall; her treasured daughter, Chaunessy Teal, and her "son-in-love," Robert L. Teal; and their children: Robert Teal II, Joah Teal, and Nala Betty Teal. She also leaves her cherished bonus daughters, Juanisha Hayden and Qiana Bimage, and their children: Jackson Hayden, Ainsley Fields, Rodney Bimage Jr., and Royce Bimage.
She is also survived by her loving siblings: sister Vanessa Zeno and husband Anthony Zeno; brothers Benjamin Marshall, Randy Marshall and wife Ann, Ronald Marshall, and Donald Marshall. Her memory is further celebrated by her dear sister-cousins Stacey Shelton and Donna Marshall-Payne, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who will carry her spirit forward.
Shawn’s life was a gift to all who knew her, and her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched with her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love.
