Sherry Lynn Walters, loving wife, sister, bonus mom, auntie, nanny, and friend, passed away at age 54 on January 27, 2026. She was born in Saint Johns, Newfoundland, Canada on November 21, 1971, to Alice Hicks.
She was married to Thomas Walters for 14 years. Sherry had a career in aviation for WestJet. She found joy in gardening, traveling, photography, and caring for her family, friends, and beloved dog, Lucky.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Hicks. She is survived by husband, Thomas Walters; brother, Paul Hicks, sisters-in-law, Michele (Doug) Campbell and Claudia Francisco; children, Matthew (Amanda) Walters and Chelsea (Caleb) Foster; nieces and nephews, Nathan Hicks, Brianna Hicks, Kayen Francisco, Samantha Campbell, Danielle Campbell, and Madison Campbell and grandchildren, Noah Walters, William Walters, and Cora Foster.
Sherry will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, strength, and the love she shared so freely with everyone fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and devotion that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 21, 2026, starting at 2:00 pm. A Reception will follow on the same day from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
