Gary was preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years, Carolyn Sue Sharp, both parents, and two brothers.
Gary was a loving and caring person that will be missed by everyone that knew him, especially his family. He proudly served his country for over 25 years as a member of the United States Air Force. After his retirement from active duty, he continued to serve as an active member of the American Legion and was proud to have been a Post Commander.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie Peters and Johnny Sharp; grandchildren, Mercedes, Lori, Jonathan and Jessica; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Dianne Schulte; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will begin on Friday, November 19, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, November, 20, 2010, at 12:30 p.m., at Forest Park East Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
