He attended McNeese State University and Louisiana State University, obtaining his Masters in Business. He spent much of his career at Aramco, even moving to Saudi Arabia with his family for several years. Upon returning to the United States, Tom started a successful bookkeeping business and assisted his wife in opening a popular retail store that they ran together for 34 years.
His sharp sense of humor was quick to make anyone smile. He was always up for a challenge and loved to problem solve. He enjoyed living near the water for much of his life, gardening, and traveling to his vacation home with his wife. He especially loved getting together with his family around the holidays, particularly carving pumpkins and dying Easter eggs. He had a “never give up” attitude that helped him in his final years as he fought a brave battle with prostate cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Thomas Broxson. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Broxson; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Ronald LeVick; grandchildren, Kayla Jacob, Vanessa Esquivel, and Adam LeVick; and great grandchildren, Thomas Jacob, Jack Jacob, and Eileen Esquivel. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below for the Broxson family.
