Tula Elizabeth Makela, age 76, of Houston, Texas passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025. She was born in Galveston, Texas on April 1, 1949, to John Fletcher Owens and Wilma Agnes Caldara.
She was married to Steven (Steve) Richard Makela for 24 years.
Liz had a career in sales for Toy R Us and Potter's Liquor. She had a passion for smoking pot, her grandkids, fish tanks, dogs, and plants.
She was preceded in death by her parents John F. Owens and Wilma A. Caldara, sister Barbara Stanley, husband Steve R. Makela, along with numerous relatives and friends.
She is survived by her son Steven and his wife Kristeena and their two children Steven and Gavin.
