Willie Dean “Bill” Murphy, 82, of Alvin, Texas, passed away October 28, 2017. He was born in Big Springs, Texas on May 13, 1935 to John and Arleen Murphy. He was married to Wanda Murphy for 57 years. Bill had a career in carpentry for Carpenters Local 213 Texas City. Bill had a passion for fishing, camping, football and baseball.
He was preceded in death by parents John and Arleen Murphy; sons Kent Landers Murphy and Barry Keith “Bud” Murphy; brothers Dwayne, Kenneth, and Charles Murphy; sisters Nelda Allmond and Delores White.
He is survived by loving wife Wanda Murphy; sons Kerry and wife Beverly Murphy and Victor “Kane” Murphy; daughters Kara “Danielle” and husband Travis Evans and Kandace and husband David “Donnie” Young; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brother John Darrel Murphy and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Forest Park East Funeral Home 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas 77598 on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment at Forest Park East Cemetery.
