Bernadette M. Schmidt

Bernadette “Bunny” “Mom” Schmidt, 83 of Wellfleet, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at her home with her daughters by her side on Wednesday 4 June 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband (United States Air Force Master Sergeant Retired) Francis Edward Schmidt of Wellfleet. She is survived by her brother David Ryall of Halifax, Canada and her sister-in-law Jean Schmidt Schlafer of Dover Plains, New York and her four children, Mona Schmidt Souza and her husband Robert of Plymouth, MA; Mary Schmidt and her husband Ryan Williams of Wellfleet, MA, Edward Schmidt and his wife Cindy of Truro, MA, Christopher Schmidt of Plymouth, MA and her many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bunny is remembered as a dedicated, loyal and loving Air Force Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend. Bunny was devoted to her Roman Catholic faith and a lifetime parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Wellfleet; she

was a lover of all animals and enjoyed walking to the Wellfleet town center by way of Uncle Tim’s Bridge and working at the Wellfleet Newsdealer as well as volunteering at the A.I.M Thrift Shop also in Wellfleet. Although, most of all Bunny cherished the time she spent with her family each and every day to which her memory will live on in all of them forever. A Memorial Service Mass will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 at 11AM at Our Lady of the Lourdes Church, Wellfleet, MA. A reception will follow immediately after the service at the Church. Everyone is invited to attend.
