Our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Basil. The referee community is grateful for the contribution he has made to the game. He will be missed. In Basil's memory, The London Branch will be making a donation to 'Right to Play'.

I had the pleasure of working with Basil at FLSmidth (Fuller FLS), although I was a temp from time to time, he surely knew how to make one feel welcome.  Basil you truly will be missed.  My sincerest condolences to the family.

I appreciated Baasil's very valuable help in my refereeing career.  He will be missed for his good humour

I shared many moments with Basil especially when I was also on the CSRA committee. I enjoyed working with him and his love of the game. I also enjoyed the banter Basil and I would have over the English rugby team and the New Zealand All Blacks. Yes Basil we beat you again. You will be missed. My condolences to his wife and family.

Basil was a true gentleman and FLSmidth colleague who truly enjoyed life. I will never forget his quick wit and love of soccer.
My sincerest condolences to his wife Charmaine, his daughters Tracy and Janice and their family. One of the real good guys who will be missed by all who had the privilege of having met or known him.

I was sorry to hear of Basil's passing.  I had worked with him through the years at FLS(Fuller).  He always would brighten your day with his wit and charm.  We shared many stories about refereeing  soccer games.   He will be missed.

I shared many good times with Basil both off and on the soccer field since way back in the early seventies. He had a very good sense of humour and was well liked by all who knew him. Basil was a true friend and a gentleman. I, and all his other associates will truly miss him.
