Derrick served with the Royal Military Police in Greece, and was a proud member of the RMPA North America branch, and the Ajax Legion. An entrepreneur, Derrick owned and operated a successful window manufacturing business. He was an avid reader and expressed his creative ability through art in his spare time.
Derrick is warmly remembered for his keen sense of humour and Yorkshire wit. He loved the company of others, and brought a smile to all he met. Above everything, Derrick was a dedicated husband to his beloved wife Barbara who sadly passed away in 2009. Together Barbara and Derrick emigrated from Sheffield, England in 1956. After 53 years together, his love for Barbara never waned, as they built a life and family together in Canada.
Derrick will always be loved, fondly remembered and greatly missed.
