We were so sorry to hear about Doug's passing,so with much sadness, we wish to pass on our condolences to Chris, Carol, Craig, Carol-Ann, Andrew, Will, Claire, and Aislinn. There is so much to remind us of Doug,such as pieces of furniture at Craig's house, the cottage, and our house. Our fond memories of Doug include him bringing back to life some beaten up chair or such, and when he was finished, it was a piece of Beauty to behold.

We will deeply miss Doug, our friend and family member.

We are so sorry for your loss so unexpected. Doug had been a wonderful neighbour and friend to us, with an abundence of knowledge and was always there to lend us a hand.  
Our neighbours make our home a wonderful place to live.
He will never be forgotten and will be truly missed.

We are so very sad to hear you have lost such a wonderful man - a husband, a father and a grandfather.  

Nothing ever prepares you for this loss.  Share your stories, cherish your memories and treasure one another.

It is with great sadness that we learn of Doug's passing. We feel bad for not keeping in touch with Doug and Chris. We remember his wonderful personality and prominate English accent. We remember how he helped us buy our first used sewing machine at a local second hand shop. We remember when he and Chris came to our home in Willowdale to help celebrate his cousin Elsie's, my mothers, 80th birthday. So many good memories.

Mr. Gibbs.  Across the street.  The magic upholsterer.  He did a beautiful chair for me.  For Free!  I gave him lottery tickets. I wish he had won.  But actually I know he did.  He had a wonderful family and wonderful life.  So sad to hear he has moved on.  But heaven just became a better place.  God Bless.

What a wonderful man was Mr. Gibbs.  We are very sorry for your loss.  I loved the way he always could find a treasure in people or things.  I was so proud when I bought a lawnmower at a garage sale for an amazing $5.  I told him about my find.  $5!! he says.  Oh dear you paid too much.  Not too much later, I got a BBQ left out after a homeowner had upgraded.  I had that thing for free and it worked for 5 years.  I know his memory will be tresured by all of those he touched.

It is with a heavy heart that I express my condolences to Chris, Craig, Carol, Carol-Ann, Aislinn, Andrew, Will and Claire. Mr Gibbs, as I still refer to him by habit, was a wonderful person who loved his family, and would do anything for his family. His work ethic and character were also much admired. Doug was part of our family too, and will be greatly missed.
