He was born in Steyr, Austria in 1939. He made the most of life, as an engineer, a teacher at Centennial College, a recreational pilot, a committed community volunteer, a world traveller, and an avid outdoor enthusiast.
He leaves behind Jill, his wife of over 60 years, and his children Michael Bayer, April (and David) Murchison, Karen Bayer and his grandson Matthew Murchison.
The funeral will be held at Melville Presbyterian Church on Saturday
January 17 at 11am. All friends and family are welcome. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to West Park Healthcare Centre Foundation or Melville Presbyterian Church.
