Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Cedarbrook Lodge. Loving husband of Jean and dear father of Doug. Loving grandfather of Jennifer and Gary and uncle to many nieces and nephews in Canada and Scotland. Predeceased by brothers Tom and John. Born April 26, 1913 in Wishaw, Scotland. “Harry” recently celebrated reaching his goal of 100 years surrounded by family and friends. Emigrating from Scotland in 1926 to Canada with his family, Harry settled in Saskatchewan and later Winnipeg before moving to Toronto with his wife and young son. Harry worked for many years in the architectual hardware industry where he was highly regarded and worked tirelessly well into his retirement years. Harry’s kind, gentle, and loving manner and his warm smile, will be missed by his family and many friends. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 3:30 pm in St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 115 St. Andrews Road (just east of Brimley Road, north of Lawrence Avenue East) Internment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Cremation to follow.
