With sorrowful hearts, we announce the passing of James Joseph Kitchin on December 22, 2025. A strong-willed but generous spirit, he will be remembered for his wisdom, intelligence and humour. Father to three loving daughters, Kim (Chad), Adrienne (Jonathan) and Vanessa (Braeden), and charming son James (d.) (Jenn), whom he shared with his former wife Mary, he will be greatly missed. James (Grandpa K) was a proud grandfather and cherished his six grandchildren, Jaimes, Jaide, Isabella, Sylvia, Braelyn and Banks. They will carry forward his stories, his humour, and his fierce spirit. James shared many years with his late partner Elizabeth (d.) and together they cared for our beloved family dog Bear and his constant companion Fritz the cat. He was predeceased by his parents, James Joseph and Kathleen, and his brother, Paul James Lyle Kitchin. A private gathering will be held with family and close friends.
