FOLEY, Joyce Margaret - Age 84, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2013. She was born on January 31, 1929 in Brandon, Manitoba to Sidney and Alice Lowdon. She graduated from Grey Nuns Hospital in Regina in 1950 where she also worked as an Operating Room Nurse. Beloved wife of Jack for 61 years, she found joy in knitting, gardening, and crossword puzzles. She was an amazing mum to Cydne, Wendy, Paul; loving Nana to Ryan, Jordan, Jocelyn, Erin, Trevor, Brady, Lauren and Cam; and proud great-nana to Nolan, Creed, Ben, Cohen, Grace, and Esme. She is survived by her brother Gerry. A memorial service will be held at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Avenue East, 416-281-6800, on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow for friends and family after the service. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Cedarbrook Lodge for all their support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Toronto (www.alzheimertoronto.org) or the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids Foundation).
