Ken and Joan enjoyed a lifetime of travel together: Alaska, Australia, Hawaii, Russia, Spain, Vienna. Their love of Ballroom Dancing kept spectators spellbound with their grace and style. Ken took his family on annual vacations full of adventure and magic. He had many happy times at his cottage in Haliburton with frequent family gatherings, his violin, little dog, and loving wife.
Ken liked to run, about 12 km a day. He met life head on with the same kind of energy and enthusiasm. He was genuinely interested in everyone he met, wanted to know everything about them, never forgot a name or face. He could see the good in everyone, and could not say bad things about people. He was honest and wise.
Ken was actively involved with his children’s education. He really enjoyed meeting the teachers and going on school field trips. He liked to play Bridge with his friends in retirement. Every day he walked in the Park behind his house, where he always had time to say hello, make friends, tell a funny story or two, and positively engage with everyone he met.
