I met Myrtle at The Church of The Nativity and she started treating me like family after she heard of my Barbadian roots. I will miss her bright smile and kind words. My heartfelt sympathies go out to her family especially her sister Deborah and her daughters Nancy and Cathy. May her soul rest in Peace.

The very first time I met her. I took a paecel to 
her from someone in Barbados. I went up to her door and she invited in. However walking towards the door I could smell the aroma of baking and cooking knocking me down. As I enter she was preparing sandwiches, fishcakes and pudding. After a 20 min chat. I was preparing to make my exit when she gave me a brown bag full of goodies. I brought it home and after partaking  in these goodies from this total stranger, I had to find an excuse to visit her again in hope of receiving some kind of cooked or baked good from her. She had a good hand in my opinion.  condolences to her family and friends may she RIP. 🙏🏾
