Alaric Eli Levin, 87 years old died 11-12- 2019 in Jupiter, Florida surrounded by his children.
Al was born in New Haven Connecticut September 6, 1932 to Murray Allen and Gertrude Persky Levin.
Al graduated from Hopkins Grammar School and went on to graduate from Syracuse University in 1954 with a degree in Advertising.Syracuse became his home and city he loved. He started as a manager for
Harvey’s Restaurant until it closed. He went on to own a few businesses and eventually found what he was meant to do. He worked for Syracuse Business as a publisher, editor, writer, sold advertising and whatever was needed. He also became a property owner with a few rental properties. Al moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida in 2015 to be closer to his family and leave the cold Syracuse winters. Al loved gardening, music, politics, Syracuse University Sports, and the Dodgers. He was a lover of the written word and he encouraged many to pursue a career in writing.
Al is survived by sister Frances Levin Goldstein of Hawaii,children Debbie( Don) Shulman of Olney, MD, James (Morag) Levin of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl, Jonathan ( Ruthie) Levin of Richmond, California. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren he loved so dearly. Al is also survived by his close friend Gary Schueler and predeceased by very close friend Laurie Crossman.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 17 at 10am at Star of David, 9321 Memorial Park Rd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
