HANLEY, Daniel Jerome, 92, of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on March 9, 2017. An incredible husband, father and grandfather, Dan set the bar with his hard work and absolute joy of life. Always positive and happy, Dan was a friend to all and everyone was his friend. Dan was raised in Illinois and after a brief stint in the U.S. Navy, relocated with his new family to Florida where he enjoyed a 30 year career with Allstate Insurance. Dan’s “hobbies” reflected his faith in hard work – he raised pigs, farmed trees and delighted in his orange grove. In his spare time, Dan restored a Farmall Tractor to pristine condition, became a Certified Financial Planner and Toastmaster. Somehow, Dan also made time to travel the world with his beloved wife Margaret Ann and his children. Dan was deeply religious, a devout Catholic and an active parishioner. Strong, silent, and a true gentleman, Dan (and his infectious laugh and ever present smile) will live forever in our hearts. Dan is survived by Margaret Ann, his loving wife of 66 years, son Mike (Christine), daughters Diane Standish (Jeff) and Linda Berbusse Colella (Guy), grandchildren Jessica Hanley Schweriner (Jason), Taylor and Margaux Standish, Lauren and Kristin Berbusse and Joseph Colella, and Sarah Newton and predeceased by daughter Margaret (Peggy) Newton Mattocks (Marty). Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 6-8 pm at QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL, CREMATION & EVENT CENTER, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33417. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Wellington with burial to follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL
