Doris was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church, West Palm Beach, where she was an active volunteer in the Church Kitchen Ministry. She especially enjoyed serving the Seniors Luncheon and the Power Lunch. She taught pre-school at the First Baptist Church, West Palm Beach for over 30 years until her retirement in 1995.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Nancy Feltz; grandson, Jason Bradley Feltz; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and great nephews and numerous great great nieces and great great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Tedder and Addie Israel Tedder; siblings, Christine T. Findley, Myron Tedder and Almer Tedder, and her husband, Mizell George Platt.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11:00AM at Woodlawn Cemetery, West Palm Beach, FL with her former student, Rev. Jason Fairbanks, officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach, 1101 S. Flagler Dr., West Palm Beach, FL 33401.
