Gladys Pollak Kaplan of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 in Highland Park, Illinois. Gladys is the loving mother of Gary Alan (Ivy) Kaplan and Shari Kaplan (Craig) Weil; Amazing grandmother of Lesley Erin (Josh) Thephasdin, Jamie Lauren Weil, Jaclyn Kate (Steven) Maletzky, David Louis (Courtney) Kaplan, Rachel Kaplan; four great-grandchildren. Gladys earned her master’s degree in psychology, taught second grade for 25 years before becoming a junior high school guidance counselor. She loved theater, concerts, reading, tennis, walking, bridge and most of all people. Gladys was married for 64 years to the love of her life, Aaron Kaplan, of blessed memory. Gladys was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed by her family.
