She was born in Bartow, Florida on March 18, 1920. The youngest child of Tom and Amanda Gaskins, she was preceded in death by her eight siblings.
She leaves behind three daughters J’ne Hicks Pucillo of Phoenix,AZ., Judith Goodwin-Allen of Smithville, TN, and Joyce Wojtowicz of Lake Park, FL. Gwen was blessed with nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 23 great – great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at her church, The Village Baptist Church, on Thursday , May 19, at 1:30pm . A reception will be held immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to The Village Baptist Church food program, an organization that she supported and loved.
