Née Marie Madeleine Alfred

Was born on January 25, 1933

She was the eldest child of Alfrene Alfred and Florencia Joseph

She attended school in her hometown of Carice and in Ouanaminthe

She was trained as a nurses’ assistant in Cap-Haitien. She returned to Carice, where she worked at the community Clinique.

She met Nicolas Gelin, who was going to be her spouse, in 1957, got married and had 9 children.

She joined us in Florida in 1994 and helped raise her grandchildren.

She passed away peacefully at home under hospice care on October 29, 2025, following a brief hospitalization.

Manman leaves behind her children and their spouses: Marie Reole and Fequiere-Catherine and Jn Pierre—Ibsen and Medgine-Berne and Rosenie-Anelie and Pronel—Myrlene and Patrick-Guerda and Rigaud—Lourdes and PierreGeot, who were her pride

Her grandchildren Kerline-Nick-Bouvier-Myrtho-Derrick-Ruby-Adam-Dylan-Brittany Victoria-Kaydrian-Camy-Maddee-Ava-Jayla-Amara-Jayden-Justice-Hugues Mendel-Emmanuela-Rithsa Carey-Jay Andel, who were her joy

Her beloved sister Odette Gabriel and Rosie Alfred, her sisters-in-law Acephie Jn Victor and Venise Alfred, and her numerous nephews and nieces.

May her soul rest in Peace.

A visitation will be held at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, located at 5411 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33417, on November 21, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The funeral service is scheduled for November 22, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles, 100 Crestwood Blvd S, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.

The committal service will follow on November 22, 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
