

Mary is survived by her children Stefani Hulitar of Middletown, Rhode Island and Renee Hulitar of Washington State, as well as her three grandchildren Tiffany M. Hilliard (husband Erik Hilliard) of Sante Fe, New Mexico; Allegra T. Samuelson (husband Christopher Blanco) of Seattle, Washington; and Alexander H. Fremont-Smith of California. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Philip Hulitar, designer and artist.
Mary was a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, New York. She was a philanthropist dedicating her life to numerous causes to better humanity and the world. Mary was a member of many organizations, including serving on the Boards of Hospice of Palm Beach – Charles W. Gerstenberg Hospice Center, named after her father; the National Tropical Botanical Garden, Kalaheo, Hawaii; and The Society of the Four Arts. She received many honors for her dedication to community service including being honored as a Town of Palm Beach Centennial Ambassador; the Palm Beach Fellowship of Christians and Jews – John C. Randolph Award; and the Hospice Foundation Hero Award. Mary also spent much of her time assisting at The Four Arts Library.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea, 141 South County Road, Palm Beach, Florida.
