

89 years old, a resident of West Palm Beach, FL for 88 ½ years, died suddenly on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Melbourne, FL. Born in New Hampshire on February 16, 1926, he was the son of Roy G. and Berth Diamond. He was a brother to R.G. Diamond, Jr, Stanley Diamond, William Diamond, William Diamond, Charles Diamond and Virginia Fagan. Perry married the love of his life Helen Mahoney Diamond of Chicago, IL, on June 4, 1950. He worked in the family fish business Shevanel & Diamond and then in construction as a lather before he started his own company Diamond Plastering from which he retired in 1992.
He was an active member of the Florida East Coast Trowel Trades Contractors Association and was one of the original members of the Mayacoo Country Club in West Palm Beach, FL
He is survived by his children, Susan Diamond Rivera (Ramon), of Titusville, FL and Perry A. Diamond Jr (Blanky) of West Palm Beach, Fl; his step children, Babette Verre Witherspoon (Robert) of Houston, TX and Charles A Verre (Arlene) of Las Vegas, NV; his Grandchildren, Brandon Smith, San Pancho, Mexico, Perry A. Diamond III (Katie), Elizabeth Diamond Backherms (Dennis)and Diana Diamond, all of West Palm Beach, FL; his step-grandchildren, William Coon (Caroline) of South Carolina and Barry Coon (Carol) of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Julianne and Charlotte Backherms of West Palm Beach, FL; step great-grandchildren, Matthew & Meghan and Deven & Madison Coon of Houston, TX; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings and by his loving wife Helen Diamond.
An honest , humble man, loving husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather. He will be terribly missed by his family who valued his wisdom and for whom he was a constant source of inspiration.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 5:00 to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at QUATLLEBAUM FUNERAL, CREMATION AND EVENT CENTER, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33417. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 14, at the funeral home with entombment to follw at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL.
