I’m still in shock and can’t believe that your not here anymore. But I remember the 1st time we met you said “hey don’t you live around the corner…is cool if I come hoop at ya house?” And from that moment we were instantly friends. Once I started taking music seriously you were always my #1 supporter from Day 1. I’ll never forget everything you taught bro..from crypto to being a great husband and traveling the world so I can learn more about myself. You made such and impact on this world and everybody who knew you knows it. I love you cuz and when it’s all said and done I can say….Job Well Done Marine.

We first met after I checked in to 462 and from that moment I could tell that you were an intelligent and driven young man. You would meet every challenge presented to you with determination and grace. I remember how you would take every chance you could to share your knowledge and wisdom with your junior Marines by taking them aside individually or by gathering them in a school circle for a hip pocket class. You always had such a gravitating personality that drew others toward you. Your presence will be greatly missed. Till we meet again, thrive in Valhalla brother.

Damn, I miss you so much it hurts. We met back in 2011 and we clicked and we have been brothers ever since.  Every one knows how we were, you were #1 and I was #2 or vice versa.  We taught each other life skills and had great times together. We always spoke of how I wanted to meet your mom so I can tell her all of our secrets and you would laugh and say " nah fam." But I've met your mom and understood where you got that amazing personality from.  You touched everyone you met and spoke to,  including me. The kids miss you and so does the wife and I, we love you always. - KITTS

Upon checking into your New Helicopter Squadron HMH 462., at MCAS Miramar, you were quite, eager to learn, and first to volunteer for matters of the Aircraft. I was one of your first Staff NCO’s. Bright, Articulate, and witty, you came to work everyday more knowledgeable then the previous. I enjoyed helping to mentor and guide you, as I could tell that you had a calling to be an Avionics Technician. 
Words can’t express the emptiness that i experienced when I heard that you were no longer with us.  Devil Dawg., I will never forget you, and I know that you are Resting in Paradise and teaching everyone how to love and explaining to them that love conquers ALL. Semper Fi Warrior, until we meet again. God Speed to you and Mrs Brenda Marles and to Everyone who knew and loved you! LOVE YOU MAN! 💪🏾❤️🙏🏾

While we don't personally know Rico, we know his mother, Ms. Vicki and we love her...so we loved Rico.  She spoke so highly of you and you were one of her best friends and partners in crime.  From reading everyone's post, you influenced others and treated others just as kindly as your mother does.  Both of your smiles are infectious and you both light up a room.  While you're gone to soon you are now living life on the streets of gold.  I pray that you shine brighter than before in Heaven and keep a close eye on your mom and remind her that you're around.  We are praying for all of the family who has lost such a sweet soul.

To Ms. Vicki - our hearts have been broken since the moment that we heard the news.  You are our family and we love you.  We know that the coming weeks will be hard, but just know that we will be here for you...ALWAYS!  Keep your head up.  Sending big hugs your way.

Hey Rico,
I’ve combed through what I would or should say seems like 1000 times over the past few days. It doesn’t feel real that your not here. You’ve been the brother I didnt get to grow up with. I appreciate all the advice, the pep talks, and you calming down when I felt like the world crashing. You’ve been a mentor for so many people and your legacy will live on forever, I promise you. 
I love you big bro, rest easy.

I am so sorry that you have to experience such grief at a time that should be your happiest. I did not get to meet ' your dearest love' but I am delighted that you found him and had a few wonderful years together.  I heard about your happy and busy life and I knew you were blessed!

 It is just so, so sad that the government for which he gave his best was not there for him when he needed it most.  We can never explain how God works but He does look after all of us even when we think He is not looking. 
 
Knowing the sweet young lady that you are,  he did not want to leave you, but God had ordained that this was his time and his place. We are not in control of these things. And we will never really understand them.

Your extended family is praying that you and the Marles family  have peace in knowing that Rico has found a greater level of personal peace in his heavenly home.  I ask special blessings be granted to you and to his mother.             Grandma Joy & Mr. Bobby

My husband and I met Brenda and Rico when they hired us to do work in one of their homes. I loved Brenda immediately because I could feel the pureness of her spirit. Rico is not much of a talker but my husband said you can tell he is
about his business and that they were good people. Their relationship was definitely goals and they were a great light for other couples. Brenda spoke so highly about Rico and their love was visibly deep and tangible.  My heart breaks for you Brenda. I’m grateful that Rico experienced such a deep and pure love from you. You are such a kind soul and one day it will begin to feel better again. Lots of love from Kurt and I. Rico, may your wonderful soul Rest In Peace.

Man, I still remember the first time we met after our moms had jury duty together. I was playing Crash team Racing and thought I was unbeatable...until I met you. We were so close like blood brothers and knew what the other was thinking at times. Our Dynamic duo mentality was rocksteady for the most part. While our paths were different, we still kept each other in our hearts and soul. I remember we played dominoes late at night discussing our goals and ambitions. We both were the trendsetters of our group but we treated all of our brothers like family. It's never a dull moment with you around. You know that harmonica from Germany you gave me, I learned a few songs on it and was going to play some tunes on it for you. Now each time I play it, I know it will have the Soul of a Marine, Veteran Husband, Friend, Teacher, Business owner, and most importantly, a brother. I am going to miss you man.

Not enough words can express the pain in my heart for the loss of you.  You were such an amazing kid that transitioned into phenomenal young man and had accomplished so much in your young life on this earth, but God had greater plans for you.

It's been years since I saw you, but I followed you through your mom. She loved you so much and was always very proud of you. Last time I saw you is when I received a knock at the door and it was you! A proud and very handsome Marine you stood!  I was happy to see you...a surprised visit I will never forget.
