Morris, Annette D. (nee Klavoon) of West Seneca, NY entered into rest March 30, 2026; Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Glenn Morris; devoted mother of David (Paulette) Morris, Dale (Margaret) Morris and Debra (Richard) Bennett; cherished grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 10. Arrangements by Hoy Funeral Home. Annette and her late husband Glenn were long time volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House in Buffalo. She was passionate about helping the families who were staying at the Ronald McDonald House during their time of need. Annette’s desire to be of service to others took many forms, including mission trips with her church to work on homes at some of the poorest Native American reservations. Her career at the West Seneca Developmental Center was highlighted by her work on the Foster Grandparent Program, where she helped engage senior adults to provide services to children with special needs. Annette’s desire to be of service to family and friends was also reflected though her talent in creating beautiful hand-made greeting cards that were tailored to the unique interests and needs of the recipients.
Annette had a variety of interests and loved to remain active. She especially enjoyed the several trips she and her husband took on paddlewheel boats on the Mississippi River, bus tours of the National Parks in the western states and exploring the sights of cities such as San Francisco. Her desire to remain active also lead her to do the Ronald McDonald 5k Run/Walk in 2009 at age 84- which resulted in her being named the Buffalo News Runner of the Year in the 80-84 age group! Above all else, however, was Annette’s love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and the joy they shared with her.
A memorial funeral service will be held at Orchard Park Wesleyan Church, 7295 Ellicott Road, Orchard Park, NY on Saturday May 2nd at 11:30 AM. Please assemble at church. The family will receive guests after service in the narthex. In lieu of flowers please donate in Annette’s memory to Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY at https://apps.rmhcwny.org/donate-now
