

Armando (“Al”) Bondanza, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, 5 days after his 99th birthday in Boerne Texas. Having lived a full life, Al was born on November 18, 1925 in Buffalo, New York to Elmando and Julia Bondanza. The last survivor of 8 siblings, Al was the beloved husband of Charlotte Bondanza (Guile) for 66 years when she passed in 2015. Al is survived by his 5 sons, Bradley (Donna) Bondanza, Alan (Debbie) Bondanza, James (Patty) Bondanza, David Bondanza, and Dale (Ana) Bondanza; along with eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Al was a Staff Sergeant in the Army during WWII serving our country as a Gunner on a B29 in the 315th Bomb Wing, overseas in Sipan. After raising their sons in West Seneca NY, Charlotte and Al retired in 1989. Family and friends are invited to pay their final respects as Al is laid to rest next to his wife in the Veterans Field of Valor at St. Matthews Cemetery, 180 Old French Road West Seneca, New York 14224 on December 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. At Al’s request, in lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Hope Hospice of Bulverde, Texas at http://www.hopehospice.net or to the Veteran’s charity of your choice to ensure our vets have stable homes, are fed and properly cared for.
