Lucy, I am so sorry for your loss. It's been quite a long time. Mergie and I enjoyed being with you and Al so much. I can see him smiling as he talked about St. Patrick's Day. I remember so fondly when our friends from England were visiting and I wanted to impress them by having them meet extra special Americans, you were those extra special ones. My deep sympathy to you. God Bless.

I was lucky enough to work for Al when he was manager of the Hamburg Office before he was promoted to Buffalo. I ran contests for him and mostly drove him nuts as one of his Office reps. He was a joy to work for. Always fair, easy to smile, and appreciative of the work all the women in the office did. They say that if you last 2 years with the telephone company you will be there 20. I lasted two years until he left, then got his replacement. She was no C.Allan , When I quit he called me and ask if I wanted to work in Buffalo. I thanked him. That meant so much to me. I went on to work for another great man for 28 years. I am a lucky woman. Sorry for your loss.
