Lorri O'Cookie -- I have looked for you so often over the years... I am sorry to have found you through the death of your father.  I have so many good memories of you and of your family: it was so wonderful to watch the tribute and to be reminded again.
I know that God surrounds you now with His peace and His love and that your dad was welcomed home to heaven with open arms and much rejoicing,  I pray that you find the comfort you need and that remembered laughter and love soon dries all tears.

Dear Alice and the whole Ohl gang,

My remembrance of Joe is as a man of high character and deep faith, filled with love that touched all who crossed his path. I consider myself fortunate and blessed to have been one of those people many years ago during my brief time on the staff of St.  Catherine's Church. 

As I send you my deepest sympathies at the loss of this fine man, may your deep faith, so evidently central in Joe's life, be your strength and support during this difficult time. 

Know that all of you are in my thoughts now and in the days ahead.

Certainly a time where we dont have adequate words, but do have beautiful memories, admiration, sand much  love, which never ends.  Peaceful love to all. 

Sweet memories of a wonderful reunion in St. Goarshausen/Germany in August 1999,
when I could introduce you to my little family, my daughter Antonella, my hubby Michael and my parents.

As an exchange student in 1983, I had the best host parents I could ever ask for!
It was such a privilege to spent my time with your great family and always felt like a part of it. (I will never forget Mom Ohls famous "turkey run" through the garden...) - thank you for sharing your lives with me!

And Dad Ohl,  you were the complete definition of a gentleman.
Gentle, polite, and with a great sense of humor! I wish I could have met you again!

Joe , was such a kind soul he alwzys had nice things to say about everyone. A great person to be around....but, i'll never forget his whistling belly.

Pete...I am very sorry to read that you have lost your father. I will say extra prayers that you and Laura, your children, and all your family members will be comforted by your memories and the good life he lived. Bless you all at this very sad and difficult time.

My sincerest sympathy and deepest condolences to my dear sister, Alice and all her dear family on the loss of  Joe, her loving spouse, and their loving father and grandfather. They are a tribute to the 
faithful, loving person he was.  He faced all the challenges and tribulations of his life with God always at his side. He will be sorely missed!  Our consolation is in knowing he is now in the loving arms of our God almighty.

Sincere condolences to the Ohl  family.  Worked with Joe at Niagara Machine. For many years our desks were across the aisle from each other so I had the pleasure of his company every day.  Although I haven't seen Joe since, he's remembered as one of the most pleasant people I've had the honor to know. 

Words alone cannot express the joy, love and peace you brought into my and my family's lives. Rest in the arms of our Loving Savior dear friend...I'll be seeing you soon!

I learned today of Joe's passing from Chris Demme, an old family friend.  Joe and I were colleagues at Niagara M & T.  I remember him fondly as a gentleman with great wit and compassion.  Your family is in my prayers.   God bless!
