Abe was born November 1, 1962 to Abraham N. and Mary R. Allan in La Chapelle St. Mesmin, France. He grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah, graduated from BYU and served an LDS mission in Recife, Brazil. He married Kelly Stewart in 1985 and they have 3 wonderful children: Marie, Lori and Abraham Thomas. He loved being a grandpa to five-year-old Jonathon.
He spent 25 years as a computer programmer for Discover Card, spent many years working with the youth and in Scouting and is the author of three recently published books in the teen fiction genre. He loved hanging out with the kids, and his fun, even tempered, non-judgmental personality attracted many that he also called "his kids."
He loved history, cultures of any kind, and he called himself the "fountain of useless information" because he knew trivia about almost anything. He loved reading web comics, anime and watching cooking and gardening shows.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly; two daughters: Marie and Lori (Mike) Courter; son, Abraham Thomas (Ada) and grandson, Jonathon Courter. Also, "his kids," Daisy (Mickey) Dansie and many more. He is also survived by his parents: Abraham and Mary Allan; sisters: Carol (Jim) Collette, Ruth Allan and brothers: Frank (Melea), Fred (Paula), James (Jeanette) and John (Kelly) Allan. Also, many sweet nieces and nephews and his cat, Chester.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 12:00 pm at the LDS Church located at 4505 Brian's Way, West Valley, Utah.
