Allen Scott Culley

Allen Scott Culley, 82, our cherished father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 in Draper, Utah. Allen was born in Salt Lake City on December 30, 1940 to Arthur and Maggie Culley. He grew up on his family farm and learned the value of hard work at a young age. Allen attended Cyprus High School where he graduated in 1959. He then attended the University of Utah and became a skilled Machinist. He married his long-time sweetheart, Shannon Rasmussen, on September 23, 1960. His devotion and love for her was unmatched. Together they had 5 loving children. Allen was selfless, hardworking, dedicated and kind. His family was his priority and he loved spending time with them. Together they enjoyed camping, boating and cheering on the Utah Utes. He adored his grandchildren and supported them in their various endeavors.

Allen is survived by his children Craig (Jodie), Corbie (Erick), Torri (Kevin) and Chris (Jenn); sisters Marilyn (Tom) and Bonnie (Lani); 10 grandchildren Nichole, Ashley, Chandell, Macie, Dylan, Grace (Jared), Maya, Olivia, Luke and Evan; and 4 great grandchildren Hunter, McKenzie, Casen and Vaughn. Allen is preceded in death by his loving wife Shannon, parents Arthur and Maggie, older brother Jay, and his beautiful baby girl, Stacey.

Services will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 at Valley View Funeral Home (4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City). Visitation will be from 11:00 am-12:45pm. Memorial Service at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Valley View Memorial Park. Please wear red, white and black or your best Utah gear in his honor.
