It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Amber Lee Harmon, who left us on December 2, 2025, at the age of 49. Taken from us far too soon, she will forever be remembered for her beautiful spirit and the biggest heart.
Born and raised in West Valley and West Jordan, Utah, she was always proud to call herself a “west side girl”. Amber was the first grandbaby on both sides of the family — a joyful beginning and the best birthday present her Grandpa Terry could have asked for. They shared not only a birthday, but also a heartfelt passion for people and a remarkable gift for leading others with grace and inspiration.
During her early childhood, she shared countless special moments with her wonderful grandfather, Grandpa Bish, who made her feel protected, adored, and forever impressed by his very cool tattoos.
Following Amber’s joyful entrance into the world were the other fourth generation Harmon rascals which Amber promptly became the circus ringleader of. She technically started working for Harmons at 16, but the third generation put her to work as soon as the rest of the 4th generation started being born. One highlight of growing up under Amber’s leadership was when she formed us all into a band known as “The Harmonizers”. We toured throughout each of the Harmons stores for grand openings, Kids Days and of course, never missed the Lagoon Summer Party. She loved us, led us and became the role model of how to offer strength and genuine loving support.
Once she was able to start actually being paid for her contributions to Harmons she became a Bagger. She worked hard and climbed the ranks as a Cashier, Front End Manager, Bakery Manager, Bakery Sales Director, Administrative Assistant, Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, Talent Manager and eventually the Vice President of Customer Experience. Job titles aside, anyone who had the privilege of working with Amber would tell you she was the calm in the storm. With a quiet, steady presence and a stoic demeanor, she may have been the softest voice in the room, yet her impact was always the loudest. While we all recognize the difference she made at Harmons, it’s equally important to acknowledge that she never overlooked the dedication and hard work of those around her.
Though she was remarkable and influential in her professional life, nothing compared to the beauty and purpose she found in motherhood, her most cherished role and her greatest legacy. Ben, Abbie, and Parker are the light she leaves in this world, the living reflections of her grace, strength, and joy. Her love for them was boundless—fierce, tender, and unwavering.
A visitation will be held in her honor at Valley View Funeral Home (4335 W. 4100 S., West Valley City, Utah) on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
