Barbara Mae Tyner Blackburn, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister passed away, surrounded by her family, December 05, 2025. Born October 05, 1938, L.D.S. Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah to Irven Arlo Tyner and Nola Mae Wilcox. She married Darwin Que Blackburn March 22, 1956 in Hayward, California; later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple. Always devoted and protective of her family, she taught her children true values of success. She served in many capacities in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, mostly in Relief Society, serving in presidencies and as a teacher; she served with her husband as a Guide Patrol leader (scouting) for many years, and as a Regional Representative for the older singles. She was a dedicated Visiting Teacher, loving and caring for the sisters in her Ward. Her special calling was as a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She spent hours teaching and caring for her family, and gifted each child and grandchild with a crocheted blanket. She had many talents and hobbies including: sewing, painting and drawing, crocheting, and learning about the world and its people.
She is survived by her children: Dana (Gary), Duane (DeAnn), David (Jennifer), Darlann (Ray) and Danelle (Boyd); 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren who are a true legacy she leaves to follow her.
Viewing and Graveside Service will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah 84120
