Beverly Lorraine Bown Pitts Nielson, 77, passed away peacefully, at home, on April 25, 2013 in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on March 15, 1936 in Monroe, Utah to Claude and Alta Iona Gilbert Bown. She attended South Sevier High School and later married Frank Pitts in 1954. They moved to California, Oregon and settled in West Valley City, Utah in 1966. Together they had 3 sons. Following the passing of Frank, Bev met and married Lewis (Eugene) Nielson in 1999.
Bev enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, fishing & Wendover trips.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lewis (Eugene) Nielson; sons, Sherwin Pitts, Evan (Beverly) Pitts, Paul (Lisa) Pitts; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
Funeral services for Bev will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Hunter 23rd Ward 3665 South 6000 West, West Valley City. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South and again on Thursday morning at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
