With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, Bonnie Jean Lee Williamson, who peacefully left us at her home on August 9, 2025. Bonnie’s joyful spirit and her passion for country line dancing will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Born to William Larvel Lee and Dorothy Amelia Baird Lee, Bonnie grew up in a loving family with her brother Calvin Lee (Peggy). She attended Granite High School. In 1958, she married her sweetheart, Glen Ray Williamson, beginning a life filled with love and family. Together, they raised six wonderful children: Steven (Luz), Wayne, Kevin, Tommy, Michael, and Heather. Bonnie was also a cherished grandmother to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Bonnie dedicated herself to her work at Sperry and later at Kearns Junior High School, where she touched many lives until her retirement. As a mother and grandmother, her warmth, kindness, and boundless love were the foundation of her family.
Bonnie’s generous heart, selflessness, and unwavering support will always inspire those who had the privilege to know her. She cherished simple joys—watching American Idol, traveling to Yellowstone, immersing herself in books, and above all, being the family’s greatest cheerleader.
As the “Footprints in the Sand” poem reminds us, during life’s most challenging moments, when only one set of footprints appears, it is then that we are carried. Bonnie’s footprints have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and in times ahead, we will feel her presence guiding and supporting us.
A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Valley View Memorial, 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley, UT 84120, followed by graveside services.
Your thoughts, memories, and condolences are warmly welcomed by the family. Flowers or other expressions of sympathy are appreciated as they honor Bonnie’s beautiful legacy.
May we all find comfort in the cherished memories and the lasting love Bonnie leaves behind.
