Bryan Lee Privett

He was born to Glen & Peggy Privett, on August 9, 1958, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bryan graduated from Cyprus High School and quickly found the love of his life, Linda Day Privett. Together they built a life on love, the outdoors, and family.

Dedicated to a life of hard work and dedication, Bryan retired from the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) after 25 years. He was never afraid to get his hands dirty, working on or repairing anything. It was well known that Bryan liked to keep moving and was always found tinkering on something. None are more grateful than his grandchildren who benefitted from all the fixed toys and lifelong lessons in mechanical repair.

Bryan’s love of the outdoors was known by all who knew him. Whether it was hunting alongside his best four-legged friend Leda, fishing with his children and grandchildren, driving great distances in OHVs, and camping with anyone willing to come. Anytime Bryan had spare time you could find him on a long dirt road to nowhere with his family in tow. He enjoyed evening fires while listening to his generation of rock and putting up with his children's music choices. And of course, his drink of choice in hand.

Bryan's love was boundless and could be seen in his grandchildren. He would spend hours on end at sporting events, recitals, and school activities. He will always be known to them as Grandpa Angel, a title he loved and could not describe him better.

Bryan is survived by his children Daniel (Christa) Privett, twins Jamie (Chris) Valdez and Jonathan (Rebecca) Privett, and Nicole (Adam) Haggin. 10 grandchildren carry on Bryan’s legacy. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings Larry (Tami) Privett, Duane (Carol) Privett, and Glenda (Mike) Long.

Preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Peggy Privett, and his nephew Tyler Privett.
