Our sweet mother, grandmother, and sister, Christie Lee Erwin, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2016, at the age of 73 . Christie struggled with disabilities due to a stroke, diabetes, and depression. Christie was a kind gentle woman who put a smile on all those who met her. She loved animals especially cats and dogs. She constantly wanted her hair dyed red after her favorite actress Lucile Ball. She wanted to work and travel more than anything. Now she is free from pain and restraints. Christie was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Gribble and Shirley Stark. She attended Murray High School where she enjoyed playing the flute in the marching band.
She married Kenneth D. Erwin on December 7, 1962. Christie is survived by her children, Scott and Maria (Erwin) Nak, Randy and Tami (Erwin) Anderson, Ken and Paula Erwin, nine grandsons, two granddaughters, one great grandson, two sisters and one brother. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ken, parents and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, where a viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 6:00-8:00 p.m. and prior to services on Thursday 10:00-10:45 a.m. The internment will be at Valley View Memorial Park.
