Darren Earl Garrick

Darren Earl Garrick, age 51, passed away April 3, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born January 10, 1961 in Salt Lake City to Earl LaRoy Garrick and Nelly Jo Benson. He graduated from Kearns High School in 1979. He married Barbara Mahlerles and they later divorced. He met his soul mate, Yvonne Masse. Darren enjoyed being with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and bowling. He lived for his sons, family and baseball. His passion became the Kearns American Little League Field and Teams. It was all about the love of the game. He believed always surround yourself with good people. He is survived by his loving companion, Yvonne Masse; sons, Nicholas and Angelo “AJ” Garrick and Angela, Katie, Wade and Michael; father, Earl LaRoy Garrick; siblings, Claudia (Dennis) Skaar, AZ, Pam (Scotty) Burns, Vernal, UT, Susan (Ernie) Briancesco, WVC, UT; three grandchildren. Preceded in death by his mother, Nelly Jo Garrick and grandparents.

Funeral services for Darren will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, where friends may visit with the family on Friday evening from 7-9 pm and again on Saturday afternoon one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Darren Garrick Memorial Fund at Mountain America Credit Union.
