Doris Ann Saxton

Doris Ann Saxton, age 71, of West Jordan, Utah passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Doris was born in Cedar City, Utah to Renee Yergensen and Harold Dean Hansen. Doris attended Cyprus High School and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Doris was a loving mother, friend, and Wife. She really loved all of her children, she would take the girls on shopping dates, which they enjoyed dearly. She would also take the boys to the skate park or snowboarding. She always called herself "mama bear", if any of the children were having a problem. Doris enjoyed cooking and later on would get ideas from cooking shows. She spent her life working in both sewing and restaurant industries. She loved music and using it to bond with people, she would talk to her brothers about music all the time. They would talk about both new and old artists.

Doris was dearly loved, and we will dearly miss her.

Doris is survived by her husband, Stephen D. Saxton; her daughter Dori Hatch; her daughter Megan Reid (Ammon); her son George S. Saxton; her stepson Jeremy Saxton (Jessica); her stepson Tim Saxton (Mandi); her brother Brad Hansen; and 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren

Doris was preceded in death by her son Chad Hatch; her father Harold Dean Hansen; her mother Renee Yergensen; and her brother Jeff Hansen.

A visitation for Doris will be held Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Valley View Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT 84120. A funeral will occur Monday, September 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with viewing 1 hour prior at Valley View Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
