Elizabeth Merle Ayala, age 80, passed away on November 13, 2020. Lisa was born March 4, 1940 in Howell, Michigan. Lisa was the youngest of four children born to Walter Davis Hagni and Merle Whittaker. Lisa attended Ferris State College and Michigan State University. She fulfilled a Stake mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in the East Los Angeles Stake. Lisa met Conrad T. Ayala while attending a church dance. They later married on September 22,1967 in the Los Angeles Temple. Lisa and Ted moved to Provo, Utah where Ted attended Brigham Young University and they started their family. They later settled in West Valley City, Utah where they raised their family

Lisa was the mother of five children and grandmother to six grandchildren. She loved music and was a part of many local choirs. She also enjoyed art and loved animals.

For the last few years Lisa was a resident of Barrington Place Alzheimer’s Care Center in Clinton, Utah. While a resident there she liked to be known as Betty. While at Barrington Place she was happy, had a sense of purpose and was well cared for. The family would like to thank the staff at Barrington Place and the many others that made her last several years so comfortable.

Lisa was preceded in death by her husband Ted, daughter Wendy, and parents Walter and Merle. She is survived by her children: Warren, Vaughn, Dean and Jamie, and her siblings: Richard, Marcia and Marie, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on November 21, 2020 at Valley View Cemetery and Funeral Home. In an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the funeral will be for family only.
