April 24, 1983 ~ June 11, 2023
Eric Nathan Graham, 40, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 about 11:48 AM in Indian Canyon doing what he loved. He was driving on his motorcycle with his Motley Misfit crew on the Mega Loop route he loved so much. Tragically he slid on gravel, succumbed to his injuries, passing away in the arms of one of his dear friends.
Eric was born April 24th, 1983 in Murray, Utah to Richard Graham and Cathy Thornton.
He attended Manti High and graduated in 2002.
He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Dominican Republic from 2002-2004. He loved the people, the culture, and loved to share his memories and experiences there.
He met his wife Nicole, in July 2004 on a blind date. They were later married December 30, 2004 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had 3 beautiful children together whom he loved so much. They miss him dearly. Eric was an active letter carrier, working for USPS for 10 years. He was loved by those he worked with and the friends he made along his route. He went above and beyond to serve those he delivered to in his community; he truly loved his job.
Eric enjoyed 4 wheelers, camping, hiking, and game nights with family. He loved video games and spent time bonding with his kids, sharing his knowledge and passion for all games and systems.
He loved to engage in spiritual/philosophical discussions and respected all perspectives. He was a true seeker and loved to learn new things.
Eric loved to work on his cars and motorcycles. He spent time riding in groups with people with similar interests. Within these groups, he created friendships and lasting bonds. He is remembered as someone who was positive, kind, and he helped people feel safe in their feelings and ideas.
He was part of an amazing community of motorcyclists, with whom he enjoyed being with. He made instant friends with those in these groups and considered them family.
We are forever grateful for those riding with him that day. Thank you for loving him, making him laugh and for helping him find his second family.
To his friend who ran to him and stayed by his side until the very end, we appreciate you and love you, as did Eric. A quote we found in Eric’s phone was “When you get a motorcycle, you join a club. Enrollment is automatic. It’s a club you’ll always be in, right up until the very end.”
"For it matters not how much we own, the cars, the house, the cash. What matters is how we live and love, and how we spend our dash." ❤️
Eric is survived by his wife Nicole Graham, daughter Danielle (17), sons Dominic (13), and Isaac (8), his mother Cathy (Dan) Davis, father Richard Graham, siblings, Jessica (Darin) Fawcett, Dustin Davis, Jaylynn (Josh) Jensen, Dallas (Tiffany) Davis, Kenny Davis, Drew (Charlotte) Davis, grandparents Paula Graham, Dorothy Davis, and many cousins, nieces and nephews
.
He is preceded in death by his grandma Myrna Lee Thornton, grandpa Calvin Thornton, grandpa Robert Graham, grandpa Dean “Swede” Davis and mother-in-law Arlene Knight.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Jordan North 5th Ward, 3836 W. 4100 S. WVC, UT 84120. Prior to the funeral there will be a gathering at 10:30am for those who wish to pay their respects.
