Son of Frank Cleveland Peters and Nettie Alice Eanes, their only son of six children. His sisters were Mildred, Evelyn, Connie (deceased), Sylvia and Margaret. Frank was born in Floyd, VA, and grew up in the hills of VA. His father died when Frank was 6 years old. The only type of entertainment in the mountains was gathering around with family and singing. Company would give the children a nickel or a quarter. Frank loved to sing country songs, and he was good. As the years passed and he lost his son, Robert, the singing stopped. His mother died in 1969, when the car she was riding in was hit by a drunken driver. Frank served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was stationed at Dugway, Utah. He met and married Audrey Peck while in the service. They had five children, Colleen, Bonnie, David, Robert and Michael. The majority of his working years were spent with Boise Cascade Housing Division, and The Gardner Village.
