1943~2015
Frank Sterling, age 71, passed away in Salt Lake City, UT. Surrounded by his loving family. He suffered for the past several years from empyema. He was born in Salt Lake City to Mary and Frank Sterling Sr. on May 8, 1943. He married Jane Strickling on June 2, 1967. Frank worked for IML freight lines and retired from Yellow Freight.
Frank is survived by his wife; Jane, daughter; Kristie (Jason) Hicks, Son; Brad (Sherry) Sterling, grandchildren; Kelsie and Braeden Sterling, Mckinsie & Lindsie Hicks and special nieces; Kimberlen, Maycee, and Brylee.
He was preceded in death by his grandson; Hayden Hicks, sisters; Irene Barfield and Jewell Sterling, and his parents.
Services will be held on Monday May 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 S., West Valley City. A visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Monday.
