Dad was born to Charles Edward and Marie Millard in Salt Lake City, Utah where he lived his full 92 years. He attended West High School where he won the state double championship in tennis. He worked at Mountain Bell telephone at age 17 and retired 37 years later. During this time he married Melba Andersen and together they had 4 children, Susan (John) Grobben, Steve Millard, Lynda (Kevin) Stapp, and Trish (Leonard) Peevy. Dad was drafted in the army and served in the Korean War. Mom introduced dad to the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served the Lord fervently throughout his life. His testimony was immovable. Dad loved tennis, golf, hunting and fishing. Stillwater always had his heart. He also loved to volunteer and help others. He was active in the Telephone Pioneers and the Salt Lake Lion’s Club. After the passing of mom (Melba), dad married Zella Gledhill who has been his constant companion for 17 wonderful years. We love her!
Dad is survived by his wife, Zella, his 4 children and 5 step children, Scott (Sheila) Gledhill, Boyd (Jana) Gledhill, Diane (John) Casper, Kathy (Loren) Suedel, and Candice Gledhill; 15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
