

born August 30, 1923 in Bingham Canyon, UT, the second child of Edward Rudolph
Draper and Bertha Ilene Gadd. He married Lois Hansen on April 19, 1947 at her
parents’ home in Union, UT, marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
He graduated from Bingham High School in 1941. He served in the United States
Army as a paratrooper during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He graduated
from the University of Utah in 1951 and then went to work for Kennecott Copper
Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, Lois, and his eight children, Cheri Mauldin, Dr. Kevin R.
Draper (Susan), Shauna Sutphin (Mike), Ilene Hancock (Bryan), Melanie Whitmore
(Jim), Scott R. Draper (Charie), Jeffry R. Draper (Rose), John R. Draper (Ronna), 29
grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Duane, Ray and Keith
and one sister, Ilene Bobincheck.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Walnut Hills 1st Ward, 5938 W. 6200 So. The family will receive friends at a visitation Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South; and from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the Ward.
