

Orem, UT-Husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend Glenn R Martin, slipped from mortality to immortality on January 28, 2016 surrounded by his loving wife and family. He joins his deceased parents, grandparents, brother and other loving relatives who have prepared a place for him in paradise.
Glenn was born on October 2, 1951, to Rueben Martin and Joyce Marie Brady in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the second of three children. He lived in Hunter, Utah with his parents until tragedy struck and took the life of his young father. Joyce remarried William "Bill" Turnbow in 1956 and they moved the family to Murray, Utah, where he was raised with now seven siblings and educated in the public school system.
He married his eternal sweetheart, Carol Anne Woolley, on March 15, 1974 in the Salt Lake Temple. They established their home and reared their family in Orem, Utah. Glenn was a teacher at heart, having taught since the age of 17 both privately and publicly. "Glenn's my name and teaching is my game." was one of his favorite sayings. After 31 years in both Provo and Alpine School Districts as an educator and administrator, he retired in 2011 to manage his health issues and to love and serve his family.
He is survived by his wonderful wife, Carol, eight wonderful children and their spouses; Jill (Brian) Hall, Cameron (Rachel) Martin, Michelle (Andrew) Cardon, AnneJeanette (Jean-Pierre) Levesque, Dyana (Brett) Valdez, Russell (Nicole) Martin, Christina (Cameron) Boyle, and Chelsea (Darren) Peterson along with 26 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one brother (Lynn). He is survived by his step-father Bill Turnbow, sisters Susan Ledkins, Kelli Cosby, Leslee LaMadrid, Rene Jamison, Valeree Nielsen and his wonderful in-laws, W. Grant and Clarice Woolley of Taylorsville, Utah.
A celebration of Glenn's life will be held at 12:00p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 in the Orem Cascade Stake Center (481 East Center Street, Orem UT) with a viewing from 11:00a.m. to 11:45a.m. There will also be a viewing the evening prior, Friday, February 5, 2016 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. in the Orem Cascade Stake Center (481 East Center Street, Orem UT). Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park in West Valley, Utah.
