

Irelan Bailey, 20, tragically passed away on 6/8/2022. Irelan was born on 7/15/2001 in West Jordan, UT and lived in West Valley City. As an indigenous person Irelan was born to the Oosei Ta chii nii (Hopi/Oraibi adopted by red running into the water clan), born for To aheedliinii (the water flow together clan), Ta nee szahnii (Maternal Grandpa, Tangle clan), and the Tlizilani (Paternal Grandpa, Many Goats clan). Irelan graduated from Granger high school with a 4.0 GPA, Salt Lake Community College with Honors, and was studying at Weber State University. Irelan was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and a dear friend. She is survived by her 2 parents, 2 brothers, and Nephew.
Irelan enjoyed spending her time doing what she loved. She loved to hike, run, bike, dance, play music, watch anime, practice Tae Kwon Do, spending time with her friends and family. Irelan was a member of the LDS church. Irelan was an achiever, she received a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, excelled in her studies, played piano, violin, and cello. She found beauty in nature, loved sunsets, her pets, spaghetti, and good food. Irelan was a bright and outgoing woman that touched many lives. She loved unconditionally and did everything she could to help someone in need.
Visitation was open to those close to Irelan at Valley View Memorial funeral home on June 9 and June 10. Irelan’s service was held on Friday, June 10th, 2022 at the Hunter 27th ward in West Valley city, UT. Friends and family celebrated Irelan’s life by sharing how Irelan impacted their lives. Irelan’s graveside service was held on Monday June 13, 2022 at Valley View Memorial Park. We’d like to thank family, friends and the LDS church for everything they did to help celebrate Irelan’s life and lay her to rest.
