James Michael Mulliner

James Michael Mulliner, our beloved son, brother, grandson and friend passed away on November 7, 2023. James was born to his mom, Leigh Gressman on July 18, 1989, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. James was 3 months early and came home from the hospital on his due date in October 1989. He was a fighter during that time and loved to hold on to the tube that was helping his lungs to get stronger. He pulled it out a few times, one time with me holding him, and they tried to leave it out, but he still would need it until the last time he pulled it out.

James graduated from Hunter High School in 2008. He liked to do woodworking while in high school. James was part of a team during high school where they built cabinets for 2 different houses. The first year they did the kitchen cabinets and the second year they did the cabinets in the bathroom. He was so proud of this accomplishment. He was able to build a coffee table and cabinets for our laundry room. He also made an end table for his grandma Linda.

James attended ITT Technology and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computers. He was on the honor roll for most of the terms and had perfect attendance. James worked for Open Gear for 9 years. He enjoyed the job and his co-workers.

James is survived by his mother and Stepfather, Leigh and Scott Gressman; by his brother, Nicholas Mulliner; and nephew, Benjamin Mulliner. He is also survived by his grandparents, Ace & Sharon Mulliner, Patti Wingeier, Robert & Margie Gressman and Robert Bennett. James was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Linda Bennett and Jean Mulliner.

Viewing will be held at Valley View Memorial Park on Monday November 13th from 6 – 8 PM. Funeral service will be November 14th at 1:00 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 3662 South 6000 West in West Valley. A visitation for friends and family will take place at the church from 12:00 to 12:45 on November 14th.
