Jean Jenkins Bowden loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, 90, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2018 at the home of Lynda (Jay) Mitchell in Magna, Utah. She would have been 91 on Thursday. She was born in Malad, Idaho to John Merrill and Mildred Howell Jenkins on April 5, 1927. Jean married the love of her life, George Clarence, on May 29, 1946. They were married for 68 years and were blessed with 5 daughters. She cherished her family and loved all her grandchildren,great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren very much. She retired from Tooele Army Depot after 40 years. She was a member of the FOE since 1969, where she served many positions and enjoyed many friendships throughout the years. She enjoyed golf, bowling, camping with family and friends. She is survived by her Daughter Lynda (Jay) Mitchell; 11 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren and her Sister Joan Hancock. Preceded in death by her Husband, George Clarence; Daughters, Vickie, Janice, Elaine and Peggy; Parents, John, Mildred; Brothers, Ardell, Harold, Russell, Kenneth; Grand Daughter, Amy C. Wensel.

A graveside service will be held April 6, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Valley View Memorial Park. A viewing will take place prior to the service from 10:00 am – 11:45 am.
